It is wonderful to work with Genetech. We were very comfortable despite long hours of discussion on the topic which was quite new for them. It is a public sector organization working to improve and standardize Tuberculosis care in the country. It has provincial programs as well and provides training as per the national TB control guidelines, last updated in 2019. The cost of onsite training country-wide is very expensive and ensuring the quality of training is also a complex problem. The organization decided to move towards an e-learning platform to ensure better scalability, reduce training and logistics costs, and also, adhere to their high standard of delivering TB care training.
They initially reached out to the IT departments of multiple hospitals but were unable to find the right level of expertise required to build an LMS from scratch. The organization decided to open up a public tender and after submitting a financial and technical bid, as well as going through the screening and evaluation process, they picked up Genetech Solutions to be their long-term technology partner.

Scrum was our chosen development methodology as it helped us keep up with incoming changes and we were able to get quick feedback from the client.
The client also decided to not include CMS at this stage of the project and instead we went ahead with a detailed reporting module for the support staff.
The outcome of this project is a secure, user-friendly, and scalable learning management system to train doctors and paramedical staff on the diagnoses, treatment, and prevention of Tuberculosis all over the country.
Currently, it has one course with eight modules, each module will take at least an hour of work from the learner. A module can be on-demand lecture-based with quizzes based on MCQs or case-study-based where you can work on cases to hone your skills.
Learners will have to secure at least 70% marks to go to the next module and they have up to two attempts for each module. They also have to attempt a pre-evaluation quiz before starting the courses so that they can compare their knowledge after completing all eight modules.
At the end of all modules, they can get a certification, which will be generated by support staff from the backend after verifying the Doctor’s credentials. Doctors will also earn 6 CME Credit hours for have completing this course.
The project has helped the organization standardize the TB case throughout the country and the course is available for free, so there are also no payments involved. It also facilitates learners to complete the modules at their own pace and without traveling to the training venue or blocking specific time for in-person lectures.
Genetech Solution is now providing support to the platform and is also responsible for generating certificates for successful doctors. The hosting and backup services are included in the support and maintenance contract.
