Children's Book Publishing is a 2.6 billion dollar market just in the US as of 2022. The industry is responsible for books in different categories, including fiction and nonfiction. A big portion of this market consists of character-building books for children, targeting a certain demographic.
The books are used for educational purposes as well as for pleasure reading. The activities involved in the industry are writing, editing, designing, marketing, and selling these books.
Book delivering subscription services are an excellent way of delivering books to the target audience, especially the ones that are regular readers. The solution required for Noor Kids was something that is easy to navigate and where multiple subscription packages and ways of delivering books are available for the customers.

Opportunity / Challenge
- Noor Kids is a publishing company that publishes character-building books for kids, between 0 to 3 and 4 to 9 years. The books are sold via their website as bundles as well as a quarterly and annual subscription of book delivery.
- Their online store is based on Shopify and its default admin panel is good enough for updating content and adding new products, but the team at Noor Kids wanted a better way to manage their business by having a custom admin panel.
- Another opportunity for them was to expand their business and hire a customer success manager to facilitate their customers and bring in more business for them.
The Solutions
- The custom admin panel pulls real-time data using a custom-built API from the online store and admin panel. It can also be used to manage yearly subscriptions and product delivery to customers across multiple countries.
- 2 Factor authentication was suggested by the team to ensure that only authorized users can access the admin panel.
- Recharge Plugin was integrated to manage payments and related scenarios, like recurring subscription fees and refunds.
- Noor Kids also has an LMS built on Kajabi with video content but we only integrated it by adding its link to the admin panel, as this was not part of the agreed-upon scope. The system also doesn’t have any delivery integration for now.
The Process
Step 01
Noor Kids already had the store in place, so we started with identifying their pain points with the available Shopify-based admin interface and how we can facilitate them in managing their operations in a better way.
Step 02
We did bi-monthly meetings and reviews with the clients to show the work done and get their feedback on it. The process helps in setting value-driven goals for the coming weeks and also allows us to build the products in close collaboration with the client.
The Outcome
A fun-looking, easy-to-use online store selling book bundles and a yearly book delivery subscription service for kids, with a custom admin panel to manage customer relationships, payments, and notifications, and announcements.
The books delivered by Noor Kids are beautifully designed and have a big customer base in multiple countries. The platform we built for them is improving the way they conduct their business and they can keep track of their customer orders, deliveries, and other related business operations.
Genetech Solutions provides maintenance services to the client, including feature improvement and new feature development.
Noor Kids have hired a customer success manager as a retainer from Genetech Solutions that manages the platform and has improved the overall sales and customer happiness.

The platform has thousands of customers with active subscriptions and has delivered a large number of character-building books but the actual stats are not available for public consumption.
