Entrepreneurial Myths & Realities

TECH Pakistan & Pakistan American Cultural Center joined hands for commemorating the Badal Do Talks series. A series of talks inspired by TED Talks that promotes success stories from Entrepreneurs on how they have changed their lives and overcome the obstacles they faced in the process and how to bring about a positive change.

This was a series of seven (7) consecutive talks focusing over diversified topics, highlighting stories and personalities from our daily life. Shazia Yaqub; General Manager at Cambridge Advisors Network, Arsalan Hashmani; CEO at Hashmanis Hospital and Radha Mohanlal; Co-Founder at Asaan Taleem along with Shamim Rajani; Founder & COO at GenetechSolutions were invited to speak about Entrepreneurial Myths & Realities.

The speakers motivated the audience by sharing success stories as well as failures from their professional journey. The crowd was intrigued to hear about how it is essential to learn more from your failures and that it is not necessary to always have a financial backing to succeed. Being Creative, persevering, taking small risks and holding on to an opportunity when you see one – are just some of the magic words that will help young budding Entrepreneurs reach their goals.

The Badal Do Talks is an impressive effort to mentor the youth  and diversify their thought process. Hats off to TECH Pakistan and to Humaira Anwar for arranging and conducting such an interactive session. More such efforts are needed to direct the youth especially girls/women towards Entrepreneurship.
